Thirty minutes before from Dawson City, the Klondike Highway meets the Dempster. This particular highway is known to test a vehicle’s capacities. Local tip; consider investing in a windshield insurance and know how to patch and change a flat tire - of course, bring said repair kit (yes, the thing that looks like beef jerky) and spare tire(s). The Dempster ends in Tuktoyaktuk, at the foot of the Arctic Ocean, in the Northwest Territories, but at its very beginning, it crosses Tombstone Territorial Park.
